[Test / Avis] Assassin’s Creed 2 (II)

Bon, je vous raconte même pas le temps que j’ai mis avant de me décider à écrire ce test. Premièrement, c’est un jeu qui m’a énormément plu, moins que le premier épisode, mais j’ai vraiment aimé. Certains me diront que le 2 est “mieux” que le 1, mais il faut aussi savoir que j’ai enchaîné les deux épisodes, donc une fois arrivé à la moitié du 2, ça commençait à me pomper un peu. C’ets vrai aussi quand les gens disent qu’il y a une certaine linéarité dans le jeu malgré la diversité des missions.

J’ai aussi trouvé des nouveaux trucs à noter, c’est un élément sur lequel je n’avais pas trop fait gaffe sur le premier volet puisqu’il était quasiment absent, mais avec mon achat de Final Fantasy XIII, je me suis rendu compte que ça a énormément d’impact sur la qualité générale d’un jeu en fin de compte, cet élément, c’est la bande-son du jeu, en dehors des bruitages.

Vous remarquerez que je me répète assez au fil de mes tests, mais je vois pas comment changer, donc je vais séparer ce test en cette fois pas 3, mais 4 parties. Le scénario, le gameplay, les graphismes, puis la bande-son ! Bonne lecture 🙂

Bon, donc pour commencer, ce scénario. Dès le début du jeu, nous avons le droit à un flashback sur ce qu’il s’est passé dans le premier épisode de la série, à savoir la vie IRL de Desmond Miles, et non celle dans l’Animus, où nous incarnions Altaïr. Pour ce volet, c’est un bond de 300 ans d’histoire que le jeu nous fait faire, nous faisant incarner le personnage d’Ezio Auditore, fils d’Assassin. Je ne vous spoilerai rien. Côté mise en scène, on se déplacera entre trois villes, plus un village. Florence, Venise, Monteriggioni, Forli, et en toute fin, Rome, dont vous n’aurez qu’un bref aperçu.

Au niveau de Desmond Miles, on se retrouve plus souvent à jouer ce personnage, ce qui n’est franchement pas désagréable, c’est au contraire ce que je souhaitais moi, vu que la vraie histoire du jeu se situe du côté de Desmond plutôt que de nos longues incarnations dans l’Animus ! Donc du coup, on avance réellement plus dans le scénario de base que dans le premier épisode, et c’est franchement bien.

 

Passons au gameplay, celui a reçu de nombreuses nouvelles fonctionnalitées. Pour commencer, l’introduction de la monnaie, vous permettant d’acheter des pièces d’équipements, vous soigner, acheter des oeuvres d’arts, demander à des gens de vous protéger, à des courtisanes de vous cacher. Mais encore plus cool, il vous est possible de rénover le village de Monteriggioni, ainsi, avec les sous que vous récolterez, vous améliorerez les structures de la ville, ce qui augmentera la popularité de la ville, attirera les touristes, qui dépenseront leurs sous dans la ville, sous qui rentreront directement dans vos poches ! Un bon moyen de se faire des sous (Quand la ville est monté aux 3/4), car vous gagnez l’équivalent de 20.000florins par tranches de 20minutes.

Petite parenthèse sur l’aspect historique du jeu, une énorme base de données est accessible depuis le jeu car il faut savoir que le studio de développement a reproduit à l’identique les vieilles villes, introduisant les monuments d’époque (Cathédrales, palais, …). C’est un énorme plus pour ceux qui souhaitent en même temps apprendre des choses sur le passé historique de certains monuments. Parenthèse fermée

Côté combat, première nouveauté, la possibilité de se battre à l’aide de la lame secrète. C’est juste énorme. Ensuite, vous n’avez plus une lame secrète, mais deux, une dans chaque manche, en gros, si deux ennemis sont côtes à côtes, vous pouvez effectuer de splendides Doubles Meurtres. Encore mieux, vous aurez affaire à Leonard de Vinci, qui en échange de pages de Codex, améliorera votre matériel. Ainsi, au cours de l’aventures, vous débloquerez des lames empoisonnées et un pistolet. Côté équipement, les bombes à fumigènes et les remèdes sont de sortie, car il faut savoir que la vie ne se régénère plus toute seule désormais.

Les assassinats ont aussi été revus, offrant de nouvelles possibilités. Ainsi, vous ne serez plus obligé de vous pointer devant un gars pour le tuer s’il est contre le rebord d’un balcon, hop, vous le ferez voler. Ou encore, un garde posté près d’une botte de foin, Ezio l’atrappera par le cou et mettra un terme à sa vie à l’intérieur de la cachette, de quoi cacher son cadavre aux yeux de ses compagnons. Il y a pleins d’autres nouveautés que je vous laisserai découvrir.

 

Passons maintenant aux graphismes, je trouvais déjà que le 1 était plutôt réussi, mais là, c’est un bond qu‘Ubisoft a fait pour ce deuxième épisode. Les personnages sont tellement magnifiques (Je comparerai pas à FF-XIII, c’est encore un niveau au dessus ça.), Lucy, l’assistante du premier épisode, a vraiment une tête de femme maintenant. Les décors sont vraiment bien foutues encore une fois, le studio de développement a fait du très bon boulot de ce côté. Seul pétit bémol, la baisse de FPS plutôt fréquente chez moi lors des combats contre plusieurs ennemis…

Pour finir, la bande-son, celle-ci était absente lors du premier volet, et Ubisoft a tenté une petite introduction dans ce volet, celle-ci est très bien réussie, quelques chants, des musiques d’ambiance, je regrette juste que l’on n’ait pas affaire à un peu plus de présence musicale dans le jeu, ça aurait vraiment apporté un plus, j’espère donc voir cet élément amélioré dans le troisième épisode.

 

J’aimerai aussi vous parler de mon système de notation, je ne l’aime pas des masses, je voudrai donc le changer, le rendre déjà plus visuel, je vais donc me pencher sur la question. En attendant, je me contenterai malgré moi de mon ancien système basique.
