Je sais pas si vous avez remarqué, mais en ce moment, j’arrive à tenir la publication d’un article hebdomadaire. A mon sens, la principale raison de ce coup de fouet est que je me suis mis à rédiger sur papier pendant mon temps libre ce qui fait que ça me fait gagner de précieuses heures lors de mes sessions sur l’ordinateur. Ce test sera (encore ?) dédié à un jeu indépendant qui a su faire parler de lui à travers une très bonne stratégie communicative (?). Celui-ci est le mix entre deux grands noms du jeu vidéo sur PC, j’ai nommé le résultat : Brick Force !
Brick-Force, c’est la rencontre entre le géant du FPS sur PC qu’est Counter Strike et le jeu bac à sable le plus populaire du moment qu’est Minecraft, tout ça dans un style graphique typé cartoon. Et franchement, le jeu est une réussite.
Vous l’aurez peut-être compris, Brick Force est donc un FPS cartoon avec plusieurs options qui permettent de faire le lien entre lui, Minecraft, et Counter Strike. On va commencer par parler du gameplay, des modes de jeu puis des graphismes…
Avant de commencer, je juge utile de préciser le fait qu’actuellement, Brick Force est en phase de bêta-fermée. C’est à dire qu’il vous faudra faire l’acquisition d’une clef-bêta pour espérer tester ce soft. Pour ma part, je tiens à remercier le twittos @Bloblorarea de m’avoir offert ce pass ! 🙂
Donc, le gameplay. Concrètement, rien d’exceptionnel, c’est du Counter Strike (Hormis les graphismes). Au niveau des commandes, on retrouve les classiques Avancer/Reculer/Pas latéraux/Sauter. On regrettera l’absence d’une commande de type “S’accroupir” qui aurait pu avoir pour conséquence de stabiliser le réticule de visée, malheureusement, nous ferons sans. Brick Force ne fait pas dans l’originalité quand on y regarde de plus près. Le jeu étant destiné à sortir en version Free-To-Play propose, via une boutique, de se confectionner son propre petit arsenal en échange de jetons (Qui seront achetables contre du vrai argent) ou de point (Ceux-ci s’obtiennent en jouant. Leur nombre varie suivant le score effectué en fin de partie et est nul en cas d’abandon en cours de partie.). Les armes sont basiques, les joueurs de CS retrouveront facilement leur équipement, simplement sous un nom différent et sous un skin simplifié. Côté interface, rien à blâmer, c’est clair, propre et l’ATH ne gêne pas du tout le joueur in-game.
Côté mode de jeu, il y a de tout. De la mêlée générale, de la capture de drapeau, du chacun pour soi, bref, c’est complet. La petite révolution vient du fait que l’on peut créer nos propres maps directement via le client du jeu ! Dans la pratique, ça ressemble énormément à du Minecraft; empilement de blocs pour constituer vos structures, etc.
Il y a trois types de blocs :
- Les blocs basiques : Ceux-ci sont gratuits et accessibles de base
- Les blocs colorés : C’est un lot de blocs, payants (Via les points ou les jetons.)
- Les blocs décoration : C’est un autre lot de blocs, lui aussi payant.
Autre fonctionnalité intéressante, le fait de pouvoir construire une map à plusieurs. C’est convivial, et couplé à Skype ou tout autre logiciel de chat vocal, ça peut donner quelque chose de vraiment fun et convivial.
Pour finir, rapide point sur les graphismes. Honnêtement en plus de pouvoir se vanter d’arborer des graphismes sympas, Brick Force peut les définir par le terme “mignon”. L’effet cartoon est super joli, les personnages sont fluides et les animations très bien réussies. Bref, rien à jeter.
Si l’on voudrait résumer le jeu, c’est à mon sens, un Counter Strike adapté graphiquement pour les enfants avec un mode de création de cartes plutôt complet (Certains ont réussi à reproduire des cartes de Call of Duty de manière vraiment très réaliste). Pour un jeu gratuit, franchement, ça vaut le coup que vous y portiez de l’attention…
