Enfin vous dites-vous, il donne enfin son avis sur la prochaine console qui risque d’extasier (ou pas) des foules de casual ou d’hardcore gamers pendant ces 5-6 prochaines années ! Eh oui, j’ai constaté que la multitude d’articles pondus sur la Wii U en ce moment étaient extrêmement intéressants, alors je me suis dit qu’il était temps de partager mon avis sur mon blog à moi !
Alors dans cet article, je vais citer pas mal de collègues blogueurs (Deux, voir trois en fait.), mais aussi le site d’actualité game-pad pour lequel j’écris, et enfin le site officiel de Nintendo, qui a pour tâche de lever le voile (OU PAS. /troll) sur pas mal de caractéristiques de sa future machine.
Commençons donc par parler de la machine en elle-même ! Je vous laisse lire la première aberrance à mes yeux :
Réseau
La Wii U peut accéder à Internet via une connexion sans fil (IEEE 802.11b/g/n). La console dispose de quatre prises USB 2.0 (deux à l’avant et deux à l’arrière) compatibles avec les adaptateurs LAN Wii (vendus séparément)
Notez donc, que la première console de la “prochaine génération”, ne dispose pas de port Ethernet. Mon Dieu, je suis conscient que Nintendo cherche à économiser un maximum ses coûts de production pour proposer à ses clients une machine compétitive en terme de prix, mais faut pas abuser la, un simple port Ethernet pour assurer le meilleur taux de transfert de données et de stabilité, c’était trop demander ? Incompréhensible, premier gros mauvais point pour moi sur la Wii U.
Côté sortie vidéo, je suis heureux de constater qu’un port HDMI sera proposé sur la console dans sa version de base (Des fois que hein…). Nan parce que jouer à la Wii sur un écran plat, c’est, comment dire, ignoble ? Je n’ai plus de téléviseur cathodique, donc je suis obligé de brancher ma Wii à un écran plat, et ça rend affreusement mal, c’est d’ailleurs pour ça que j’ai lâché la Wii…
Compatibilité avec les jeux Wii
En plus de pouvoir jouer avec la plupart des jeux Wii que vous possédez déjà, vous pouvez également utiliser vos manettes et accessoires Wii* comme les télécommandes Wii Plus (y compris les télécommandes Wii) et les manettes Nunchuk.
À l’exception de certains accessoires et logiciels. Les jeux et accessoires Nintendo GameCube ne sont pas compatibles.
M’voyez, la première fois que j’ai lu ça, j’étais super content, du genre “Oh yeah, je m’achète la Wii U, et en plus de profiter des jeux Nintendo, j’aurai l’occasion de m’acheter les titres que j’ai loupé sur la Wii (Pandora’s Tower, Monster Hunter Tri pour n’en citer que deux), sauf que, quand j’ai relu plus attentivement… “En plus de pouvoir jouer avec la plupart“. Celle la, elle gifle sévère m’voyez ? Bon, je pense bien que Pandora’s Tower et Monster Hunter feront parti de ces jeux compatibles, mais j’ai déjà fait l’affreuse expérience de me procurer SSX On Tour sur xBox (Enorme classique on est d’accord ?) et le retrouver dans la liste des jeux incompatibles sur xBox360, donc j’ai peur que plusieurs gros titres Wii soient délaissés sur la Wii U, donc, pour ça, j’ai peur…
Bon allez, je vais arrêter de tailler sur ça, mais sachez que déjà, je suis déçu d’emblée par ces deux lacunes, qui sont à mes yeux les pires défauts techniques que la Wii U présente.
Détaillons un peu les jeux prévus et qui seraient susceptibles de m’intéresser. De prime abord, Nintendo prévoit un line-up plutôt conséquent pour sa prochaine console, je vous fais pas un listing, vous avez déjà pu le rencontrer sur pas mal de sites d’actualité, mais il est judicieux de noter la présence d’une énième réédition de Mario Bros, nommé New Super Mario Bros Wii U (Visez l’innovation o/). Bon, d’après les avis qui se sont faits sur ce jeu (Impressions de Peace and Geek), le nouveau contenu est bien la, et le côté multijoueur du soft promet d’être diablement amusant !
Second jeu à présenter, c’est à mon avis Nintendo Land. En fait, d’après ce que j’ai entendu dire, ça a l’air d’être un mix entre Wii Party, qui mêle un maximum de licences Nintendo (Animal Crossing, Luigi’s Mansion, …) et va proposer une grande variété de mini-jeux pour égayer vos soirées entre amis.
Troisième jeu du lot qui me paraît intéressant, je veux parler de Rayman Legends. Promis d’emblée comme étant le futur jeu de plateformes de l’année, le titre risque de faire rêver les fans de Rayman, qu’Ubisoft a su faire ressusciter après le succès de Rayman origins, encore une fois, Peace and Geek est catégorique sur le sujet, Rayman Legends sera la bombe de ce line-up. Et j’y crois !
Bon, après, en vrac, comment ne pas aborder le second titre très prometteur d’Ubisoft, le titre qui risque de réconcilier le genre survival-horror avec les fans ? Après des Resident Evil et Dead Space tous plus typé action les uns que les autres, Ubisoft renoue avec les fondamentaux et se prépare à proposer via la Wii U un concentré d’horreur et de stress à travers Zombi U, préparez vous à flipper. Personnellement, je n’achèterai jamais ce genre de jeux, je suis une vraie tapette 🙂 ! S’en suit l’annonce de Pikmin 3, à suivre de loin pour ma part, n’ayant jamais été fan de la licence, et enfin Scribblenauts, titre plutôt intrigant dont je vous invite à choper le trailer E3 disponible sur YouTube, wait & see.
On pourra aussi compter sur une réédition de Mass Effect 3 (Super logique me direz-vous, quand on a pas fait le 1 ni le 2, quoi de mieux que de commencer par le 3 …?), Fifa 13, Darksiders 2. On pourra aussi découvrir Assassin’s Creed 3, un Batman, un Ninja Gaiden, un Tekken, et même Call of Duty Black Ops 2…
Sinon, toujours pas d’annonce du prochain The Legend of Zelda, j’espère que le prochain épisode sera à la hauteur de mes espérances, ça me laisse le temps de m’acheter et de faire Skyward Sword !
Bon, côté périphérique sinon, le GamePad me paraît vraiment attractif, et j’espère voir affluer le nombre de titres compatibles avec la vraie manette, fin je veux dire, dégagez moi cette putain de WiiMote, c’ets vraiment la manette que je déteste le plus, enfin, c’est même pas une manette bordel ! Rien n’est mieux pour moi qu’un bon pad entre les mains. Bon après, je suis d’accord, l’innovation était la, ça a attiré des foules (Moi le premier, Twilight Princess m’a plutôt enchanté, Wii Sports m’a fait rire, Wii Party a assuré, bref, c’était cool deux secondes, mais pas plus.), mais je me vois mal continuer dans cette lancée du motion gaming.
Bon, j’ai pas encore pu tout aborder, parce que ça a été dit et redit des centaines de fois, et que je pense inutile de rajouter une couche, mais la communication de Nintendo à l’égard des composantes principales de sa console est déplorable, notamment sur le côté online de la machine (Précisions ici), qui promet le fait que l’on ne puisse pas parler avec ses amis si l’on ne joue pas au même jeu et que ce jeu soit compatible avec la fonction de chat vocal. Encore une fois, pour une console qui se prétend être de la prochaine génération (Je ne parle pas des capacités de la console, la nul doute que la concurrence écrasera la Wii U à plate couture), mais côté multimédia, c’est très loin d’être acquis. Alors oui, on me dira que Nintendo mise principalement sur l’expérience de jeu, que le jeu est sa réelle priorité, nanani nanana, mais quand même, dans ce cas, autant annoncer clairement qu’il ne faut rien attendre de sa console en terme de multimédia, et ne pas promettre des choses que l’on retirera ensuite de la version finale de la machine, hein Monsieur Iwata ?
Côté prix, ça sera un minimum de 300€ qu’il faudra débourser pour acquérir la machine, nombre de bundles sont disponibles en pré-commande, notamment des versions limitées Zombi U, des versions avec plus ou moins de capacité de stockage interne, bref, vous en aurez pour toutes les bourses et toutes les envies, je vous laisse découvrir l’éventail d’offres de bases ici.
Pour ma part, et comme vous aurez pu vous en douter en lisant cet article, la Wii U ne sera pas mienne avant un petit bout d’temps. J’ai déjà ma chère xbox dont je ne me lasse toujours pas, j’ai encore beaucoup beaucoup de jeux à faire dessus, et autant à tester ! On verra donc plus tard pour la Wii U !

C’est pas que je sois pas vraiment emballé, c’est surtout le fait qu’il y a pas mal de défauts à relever, que j’ai déjà une plateforme à continuer de découvrir, et que j’ai aussi, pas le budget pour investir dans une nouvelle console ! Je confirme pour la qualité graphique sur écran plat ! Je pense d’abord mettre la main sur une PS3 et un bon PC Gamer, la Wii U n’est pas du tout une priorité pour moi bien que Zombi U me fasse baver.
Moi aussi, le prochain investissement risque d’être un PC capable de supporter quelques bons jeux. D’ailleurs, à propos de jeux PC, si tu as entendu parler du jeu “Ravaged”, un FPS multijoueur, un indépendant, il a l’air juste énorme *o*
Très bon article, qui aborde la console d’une manière assez réaliste. Même s’il est vrai que d’un point de vue technique, en général, pas graphiquement, la Wii U risque d’être un peu à la ramasse (sans que cela soit rédhibitoire), c’est une fois Gamepad en main que l’on prend conscience de son potentiel. D’ailleurs, ceux qui ont l’occasion d’aller au Paris Games Week, je leur conseille d’essayer la console.
Ah, au fait, petite chose qui ne va pas jouer non plus en faveur de la console, mais Rayman Legends n’est plus au line-up de la console, il devrait sortir en février 2013… Oui, c’est très triste…

Avant Noël, il y aura des jeux intéressants, mais pas forcément en très grand nombre (pour les titres inédits), mais jusqu’en mars 2013, plus de bon gros jeux vont tomber. Donc même si en day one c’est pas forcément tentant, rien que pour ce qui va suivre, pour ceux qui sont intéressés, autant la prendre à sa sortie. De toute façon, il n’y aura pas de baisse de prix entre temps. Enfin, ce n’est que mon humble avis.

Juste une remarque sur la rétrocompatibilité : sur XBox 360 cela passe par de l’émulation, alors qu’apparemment la Wii U utiliserait une rétro-hardware, ce qui permet une compatibilité quasi-complète.
Le fait de citer “la plupart des jeux” doit surement être un terme commercial pour s’éviter des problèmes dans le cas où certains jeux poseraient malgré tout problème…
D’ailleurs la Wii possède aussi une retro-GC hardware, et je n’ai pas le souvenir du fait qu’un jeu ne soit pas compatible…

Il y a toutefois un “défaut” à la rétro hardware : les jeux sont exécutés à l’identique et ils ne peuvent donc pas profiter des “nouveautés” du support. C’est à dire qu’il ne devrait pas y avoir de support des pad WiiU ou du GamePad, ni du 720p ou 1080p en natif…
Toutefois c’est la console devrait se charger de l’upscale, ce qui devrait quand même donner un meilleur résultat que la Wii (qui délègue çà à la TV pour un résultat très variable selon le modèle).
