Quiconque écrit depuis plusieurs années l’a connu ou a peur de la connaître. Mélange entre manque de motivation et manque d’inspiration, la panne m’est apparue il y a déjà plusieurs années.
Je ne suis pas écrivain et n’ait jamais été près de tenir la cadence que certains rédacteurs autour de moi ont entretenu ou entretiennent depuis bien plus d’années que je n’en serai capable mais malgré ça, j’ai expérimenté cette impression et en ce 31 Décembre 2016, j’aimerai conclure l’année sur cet article et essayer de prendre un peu de recul sur ce qui a provoqué ce manque de motivation et d’inspiration.
J’aimerais me conforter dans l’idée que ce manque d’inspiration provenait majoritairement du manque de contenu dans ma vie mais c’est archi faux. J’ai énormément d’histoires à raconter autour des jeux vidéo et durant ces deux ans et demi d’écriture sporadique, j’aurai maints et maintes fois pu vous conter mes expériences de jeu qu’elles soient sur Counter Strike où j’ai joué dans une équipe amateur de manière sérieuse, sur Grand Theft Auto Online où j’ai enchaîné cascades et missions en coopération jusqu’à mes nombreuses heures sur Rocket League où en commençant au plus bas de l’échelle j’ai réussi à monter jusqu’au top 1% des meilleurs joueurs en compétitif…
Non, je ne manquais et ne manque toujours pas d’histoires à vous raconter, je manque juste de motivation et d’inspiration. L’esprit du procrastinateur qui est moi a toujours favorisé “l’instant gratification monkey” au “rational decision maker”. Jouer plutôt que conter.
Et vous n’imaginez pas à quel point à chaque fois que j’y pense je regrette mes actions. A 17 ans, chaque article que je publiais attirait plus de cent personnes. Désormais, j’ai tellement lâché cet espace que je n’ai même plus de données de visites mais il suffit que je consulte mes mails pour constater que les opportunités professionnelles que je recevais auparavant étaient bien plus régulières et conséquentes que les très rares que je reçois actuellement.
J’ai choisi pendant ces deux ans et demi d’investir sur le court terme et ce à quasiment tout les niveaux de ma personne et ça ne fait que quelques mois que de multiples déclics se suivent et me font enfin me sentir avancer à nouveau.
Je me suis leurré en cherchant de nouveaux moyens d’expression et ait justifié mon absence sous couvert d’expérimentations. J’aurais du continuer d’écrire tout en expérimentant, je ne l’ai pas fait pour soit disant me concentrer pour produire le meilleur contenu possible. Résultat ? Zéro contenu.
Je ne suis pas la pour me plaindre mais j’avais besoin d’écrire tout ça. Voyez ça comme un constat. J’ai fait énormément de progrès sur le plan personnel pour en venir à toutes ces conclusions et élaborer un plan pour progresser dans la direction qui m’intéresse vraiment, pas pour me diriger vers l’endroit où la vie au jour le jour me mène.
J’ai supprimé tout mes jeux et n’ai pas joué depuis à l’heure où j’écris ces lignes 36 jours. J’ai fait ça pour me concentrer sur d’autres projets persos aka relancer mon blog, finir mes projets scolaires et écrire les premières lignes de ce que sera ma vie professionnelle les prochains mois.
Ne pas jouer ça n’est pas ne pas écrire et je ne compte pas changer de ligne éditoriale. Le slogan de ce blog rest” Vie(s) et écrits d’un joueur de jeux vidéo. J’ai aussi commencé à créer des bijoux en résine et en bois et j’ai envie d’inspirer leurs formes et leurs couleurs de mes références culturelles, et pourquoi pas les vendre, mais au moins vous les montrer.
Bref, j’ai plein de nouveaux projets qui m’enthousiasment bien plus que ceux que j’ai essayé d’entreprendre pendant mon année de licence à défaut d’écrire. Et à côté de ça je compte reprendre l’écriture sérieusement. Je me suis rendu compte de la chance que j’avais d’avoir eu la possibilité de m’exprimer en face de plusieurs milliers de lecteurs et je compte bien tout faire pour récupérer cette audience car comme je l’avais dit au début de cette série d’articles, cet espace et son succès relatif sont des choses qui me tiennent énormément à coeur et ce blog m’a ouvert des opportunités. Sans lui, je n’aurai pas la reconnaissance que j’ai quand je me met en avant lors d’entretiens d’embauche ou dans mes relations de tout les jours. C’est une partie de moi dont je fus très fier et je souhaite retrouver cette fierté. Je l’ai déjà retrouvé en parti en écrivant une bonne partie des articles prêts à être publiés en Janvier et je compte continuer dans cet élan pour une fois.
Je sais que c’est difficile à croire pour beaucoup d’entre vous qui me suivent et qui m’ont vu tomber dans cette spirale infernale de la publication la plus irrégulière possible mais cette fois je considère que c’est la bonne. Je me sens mieux.
